Based on your entire health history, including all of your current symptoms and qualities, your chronic intermittent symptoms and any past symptoms or events related to your health and well-being, as well as your family health history I will recommend a plan for care which includes a constitutional homeopathic remedy and may include, nutritional guidance, supplements, and herbs. (See Methods of Care)
During the intake we will also review any relevant labs (if any) and vaccine records.
The intake appointment takes about three hours for adults, and two hours for kids (depending on severity of chronic issues). For verbal children, I will need time to speak with them, preferably with parents waiting in the lobby.
Best results from treatment are obtained by compliance with recommendations, regular follow ups until symptoms are resolved and staying in contact with me.
A follow-up is scheduled for 5-6 weeks after the in-take.
To get started, please print and complete both the Health History Questionnaire and the Consent forms (found at the bottom of this page). Bring the completed forms and copies of labs and/or vaccine records to the intake.

A two hour intake can be a long time for a child to be in my office. Some children, whose temperament/age permit, may be able to sit in my office or in the lobby with a device and headphones, for the duration of the time I speak with parent(s), until it is their time to speak with me. Or, if they are smaller, they may be able to play in my office with toys the entire time.
However, if you feel your child's temperament would not permit this type of situation, please email me directly to schedule a DIVIDED INTAKE. In the Divided In-take, I would either meet parent(s) in office for the health history portion, or conduct the portion by phone. Then, a separate one hour appointment is scheduled for later the same day, or later in the week, for the child's portion of the intake.

FOCUSED INTAKE: address one chronic symptom, for relatively healthy people (if you do not have multiple chronic conditions and are not taking any pharmaceuticals). Examples are: chronic cough, dengue fever, or other self-limiting communicable diseases, chronic pain from an injury such as low back pain, sciatica, seasonal allergies, etc.
One homeopathic remedy is recommended after a 90 minute appointment (in person or remote) to reduce the pain and/or frequency, or resolve your chronic ailment.
A follow-up 2-3 weeks later is recommended.

ACUTE CARE: resolve pain or discomfort associated with one short-term self-limiting condition (after medical diagnosis and/or appropriate treatment). A remedy is selected only based on your current symptoms, and can help resolve it but not prevent it from reoccurring as in Complete Care.

TRAVEL CONSULTATION: for a planned trip either at home or abroad. In this appointment, we review CDC guidelines for your geographic region of travel, and create an individualized plan of care for both prevention and treatment of illness and injury.
We explore common scenarios for injury, illnesses, vector-born and communicable diseases of the region.
You will leave with a plan tool-kit of specific items highly customized for your trip.
Please schedule at least 2-3 weeks ahead of travel time. Remedies and HP travel kits will be ordered during the visit.

Acute Illness - Established clients with urgent conditions may text Lizzie’s cell phone 512-560-6387; there is always an acute consult fee ($85) for an urgent call/text to this cell phone. (See Acute Care above for details as to what constitutes an acute) It is the client’s responsibility to continue to update me in the text thread until resolution. If acute texting is prolonged (longer than 5 days) I will bill again.
Email - Clients can email the office for scheduling, questions and other non-urgent topics. Emails are returned as time allows, which can be more than 72 hours in times of high traffic.
Payment: The client is responsible for payment of all fees at time of service. Payment may be made with cash, check, credit card (AmEx, Visa, MasterCard, Discover) or Paypal. Clients off-site can be invoiced through on-line bill pay. A $40 fee will be charged for any check returned to this office unpaid.
Insurance / HSA / FSA: This office will provide account statements which clients may submit to their insurance companies or FSA/HSA managers for reimbursement. This office does not file any forms for insurance or reimbursement. Clients are encouraged to investigate all options for insurance reimbursement or use of plans such as Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) which allow reimbursement of payment with pre-tax funds.
Cancellations: If it is necessary to cancel/reschedule an appointment, notification of schedule change must be made at least 24 hours in advance; appointments that are missed or cancelled late represent time that was scheduled for the client, and will be charged the full fee.

Calls are generally answered each day, emails are answered as time allows, which can be delayed during times of travel or high volume of email. If there is any concern that requires prompt response, or you have not gotten a reply from an email in the timeframe they require, please call.
Telehealth–Off-Site Consultation: Clients who live outside of the Austin, Texas area can schedule consultation by telephone or web audio-video conference using Facetime or Skype.
